A Preliminary Report with Anatomical Soft Cohesive Gel Implant in Augmentation Mammoplasty in Korean Women

One hundred patients between February and August 2012: an early report on an anatomical cohesive-gel implant that had just become available in Korea.

What was recorded

One hundred augmentation mammoplasties with an anatomical cohesive gel implant, carried out between February and August 2012, were reviewed with co-authors from a university hospital department. Satisfaction with shape and touch was scored on a linear analogue scale to a maximum of five, and ninety-one patients were satisfied. Over a mean follow-up of 7.9 months neither implant malrotation nor capsular contracture was recorded. The authors describe it as a preliminary experience with a device introduced in Korea in February 2012.
