How the figure is arrived at, and what it does not cover.

No tariff is printed here. Two faces needing the same operation do not need the same amount of it, and a number published before either has been examined is set by the marketing rather than by the findings. What is set out instead is the method: what the figure is built from, when it is given, and what it is not allowed to become afterwards.

01 · By operation

What the figure is built from

Not from a list. The figure for one face is decided by what the examination and the 3D CT show — how much bone has to move, how much tissue is left, whether the face has been operated on before — and not by how the enquiry was made or which country it came from. These are the operations it is quoted for.

Operation

Endoscopic forehead lift

Five incisions inside the hairline; the brow repositioned and held while it heals.

Endoscopic malar reduction

One temporal incision, two dissection planes; no incision inside the mouth.

Endoscopic malar reduction — revision

A face operated on before: the old osteotomy line and the adhesions have to be found again.

Revision rhinoplasty

Priced on what remains — cartilage, skin, blood supply — not on the number of operations before it.

Facial foreign-body removal

Filler, fat or threads in the forehead, glabella or temple, removed under endoscopic view.

Forehead reduction

The hairline lowered through a pretrichial incision. The opposite operation to a lift.

No amount is printed against these, because the amount for one face is not known until the face has been examined. Each is quoted in writing, for that face, before anything is booked. Where two operations are done in one session the figure is quoted for the session rather than added together.

02 · The short way in

The shortest way to this clinic is also the least expensive one.

Most patients reach Seoul along a longer road, and every stop on that road is paid for somewhere inside the figure they are handed — usually without a line to say so. Writing to the clinic yourself takes the stops out. Nothing is added on the way, so 10% comes off the surgery fee.

Why the short way is cheaper

A message that arrives here carries nothing with it, so there is nothing to pass on. Write yourself — WhatsApp, email or KakaoTalk — and the surgery fee is quoted with 10% already taken off, set out as its own line in the written estimate before anything is booked.

What it is not

Nothing here is asked for on the day. The reduction is written as its own line in the estimate, directly under the fee it comes off, so it is read on the document rather than taken on trust — which is the opposite of the discount this site warns about elsewhere. It is not taken off a figure raised to carry it: the fee is the one the clinic would quote either way, and the line comes off that. Nor is it held against a deposit taken on the day: the estimate is given in writing first, and you decide afterwards.

If someone is already walking the road with you

Say so in the first message. You will be told plainly whether the figure you have been given carries a commission inside it, and you can decide from there. Nobody is asked to break an arrangement they have already made.

Who it applies to

Patients enquiring from outside Korea, where the longer road would otherwise be the way in. Patients resident in Korea are quoted the clinic’s own fees in the usual way.

What the figure includes, and what it does not

Included

The operation, the anaesthesia arranged for it, the theatre, the recovery room on the day, and the review visits that belong to that operation. The written quotation lists these line by line rather than as one number.

Not included

Anything a second operation would need. Materials that are decided only during surgery are named in the quotation with their own figure rather than absorbed into the total. Travel, accommodation and anything outside the clinic are not arranged here and are not charged here.

When the figure is given

After the findings are read, never before. A number quoted before anything has been examined is a number set by the marketing rather than by the face, and it means the plan will be fitted to the quotation instead of the quotation to the plan. Where the findings say that not operating now is the better course, that is said before any figure is discussed.

04 · If you are coming from abroad

What to ask for before you book a flight

Send photographs and whatever record exists of any earlier surgery, and ask for the written estimate. It is given for that face rather than as a tariff, and it states how many days in Seoul the operation needs in the way of dressings and review visits. If the answer is that you should not fly yet, that is given before anything is booked.

No package is offered — no airport pickup, no hotel arrangement, no promised number of days. What is offered is a figure you can hold the clinic to, in writing, before you buy a ticket.
